One doctor who sees the whole picture

I'm a board-certified internist trained at Mexico's national referral institute. I care for adults with several symptoms or conditions at once, with a focus on digestive and metabolic health. One-hour visits, tests only when they change a decision, and a written plan you can take home.

Why an internist

The specialist for adults with more than one thing going on

An internist is the physician who diagnoses and treats the adult as a whole. When blood pressure, blood sugar, liver and stomach affect each other, treating them separately produces four prescriptions that don't talk to each other. My job is to turn that into one plan, and to refer you to the right subspecialist only when a procedure is needed, without dropping your case.

A real hour with you

Time to hear your full story and review every test you bring. Most diagnoses come from there, not from the lab.

vs. the 15-minute average
A written plan in plain language

Diagnosis, treatment, goals and warning signs on one page, in English if you prefer.

vs. a prescription and "see you"
One plan for everything

Diabetes, blood pressure, liver and gut treated together, with the fewest medications and no repeated tests.

vs. four doctors who never meet
Digestive focus, national-institute training

Internal medicine residency at INCMNSZ and current fellowship training in gastroenterology. Digestive problems are handled in the same visit.

FAQ

Before your visit

Do you speak English? +

Yes. The entire visit, the written plan and any messages can be in English.

Are you a gastroenterologist? +

I am a board-certified internist currently in gastroenterology fellowship training at INCMNSZ. I manage most digestive problems in the office. If you need a procedure such as an endoscopy, I refer you to the right specialist and keep following your case.

Do you take international insurance? +

Visits are paid directly. I provide an itemized receipt (factura) and a medical report in English so you can claim reimbursement from your insurer. Mexican plans from GNP, AXA, MetLife, Allianz and Seguros Monterrey reimburse consultations.

Can you be my primary doctor in Mexico City? +

Yes. Internists act as primary physicians for adults: check-ups, chronic conditions, acute problems, and coordination with specialists and hospitals when needed.

How do I book if I don't read Spanish? +

On the Doctoralia page, "Agendar cita" is "Book appointment", "Consulta en línea" is "Video visit" and "Primera visita medicina interna" is "First internal medicine visit". Pick a time, enter your name and phone, and you will receive a confirmation by SMS and email.
